All Saint Omaha

Rector Search Committee

The search for a new rector for All Saints Episcopal Church Omaha has begun with the commissioning of a seven member committee.
Angie Deihl (co-chair), Michael Kresin (co-chair), Mollie Sultenfuss (Vestry), Woody Bradford, Bob Brown, Judy Stribley, and Jara Sturdivant-Wilson.
The search committee will receive training from Cannon  Liz Easton on April 20. The committee will take the lead, but the whole church will have a part in the search by completing the church "profile."
Please pray for the committee and for the person who will be chosen as our new rector.

The committee was commissioned on April 13-14 before the parish by The Rev. Dr. Darrel Proffitt. The search committee retreat was Saturday April 20, 2024. They met in the undercroft at All Saints directed by Cannon Liz Easton.
Ground rules for a search committee were discussed and how to keep the parish informed of their progress. The search is on!

Weekly Update

We had a productive and thoughtful meeting with Canon Easton this weekend. We reviewed the
history of All Saints and completed a couple of exercises that helped us better understand the
search process.
Our first major project is starting to build our Parish Profile. The Parish Profile includes what
makes All Saints so important to all of us in our lives. This will eventually give candidates some
insight into our Parish.
In the near future we will be arranging small groups so that everyone has the opportunity to give
input on why All Saints is important to all of us.
Please keep the Search Committee in your prayers.
Michael Kresin

This Week

The committee met on May 2,2024 and assigned tasks for each member to complete. We will be adding a bulletin board to help keep the parish informed. Organized groups of the parish will be asked for their input and anyone not in one of these groups will be able to sign up for Holy Conversations when they are set.
Two members will be responsible for collecting the information from the Holy Conversations and developing the "Parish Profile."
