Grief Support

The loss of a loved one can cast a heavy shadow over every part of life. Although each of us experiences grief in our own particular ways and times, it can be very helpful to know that there are others who are struggling with the same loss, to share and learn how to navigate the days and months when the pain is fresh and sharp. All Saints clergy are available for short-term grief counseling, and can recommend resources when more long-term counseling is needed.

The All Saints Grief Support Group meets at 10:30 AM on the fourth Monday of each month in the Parlor following the service. Contact us for more information.

Grief Support Resources

Grief's Journey
Since 2001, Grief’s Journey, formerly Ted E. Bear Hollow, has been a welcoming, safe place where grieving children, teens, and adults find hope. Research indicates that unresolved grief correlates to issues such as poor school performance and emotional and behavioral concerns, whereas healthy coping leads to long-term success for the child, the family, and the community. As the region’s cornerstone for grief support, we provide free peer support programs as well as training, education, and consultation throughout Nebraska and Iowa. Grief’s Journey relies on charitable contributions, special event income, and volunteerism to support its free programs.

Survivors of Suicide
The purpose of the Survivors Of Suicide web site is to help those who have lost a loved one to suicide resolve their grief and pain in their own personal way.The grief that survivors of suicide experience is unique. The questions often left behind are at times unbearable. It is my hope that this site will offer information that will help answer some of those questions, as well as provide a safe place for survivors and friends of survivors to share their struggle and pain and offer comfort and understanding to others who have experienced a similar loss.
