Baptism at All Saints

In Baptism, we as a church community celebrate the momentous and joyous occasion of welcoming a new member of the Body of Christ. Baptism is open to infants through adults. If the person is an infant or child, at least one of the parents should consider themselves a member of an Episcopal Church.

In Baptism, we as a church community celebrate the momentous and joyous occasion of welcoming a new member of the Body of Christ. The Episcopal Church recognizes and affirms both adult and infant baptism. Adult baptism may serve to remind us that we need to take responsibility for our relationship with God in Christ ourselves. Infant baptism serves to remind us we can’t have a relationship with God without the help of the community.

Traditionally, all baptisms take place during public worship. Prior to the baptism, the clergy will hold a required Baptismal class and a rehearsal is scheduled 30 minutes prior to the service at which the Baptism will occur.

Holy Baptism is especially appropriate on the following days.

  • First Sunday after the Epiphany, January 7, 2018
  • Easter Vigil Service, March 31, 2018
  • Pentecost Sunday, May 20, 2018
  • All Saints Sunday, November 4, 2018

We will try to accommodate individuals whose family schedules are such that the above times do not work.
